Biography

Collin Simpson’s Bio:

My name is Collin Simpson and I am a recent graduate from Texas Tech University with a degree in Exercise Sports Science. I moved here to Eugene right after graduation in order to continue pursuing my goals as a movement trainer and healthy lifestyle promoter. I started working out around 2009 when I was 17, although my training was limited to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and conventional weight training in the mirror room. Even though I had played soccer and lacrosse growing up, I was a very small kid, not very athletic, and anything but graceful. I found out about Ido Portal around late 2014 and completely changed my perspective on training. For the last year and a half my focus has been on gaining better control over my body through gymnastics-like/bodyweight training. Although I am new to the skill of training others, I have a strong desire to practice with others and expand my current knowledge. Aside from movement training (crossfit, yoga, handstands, etc.) I really like getting outside for hiking, camping, snowboarding, biking, and really any other outdoor activity.

Olivia CampbellGymnastics Coach

Biography

Olivia Campbell’s Bio:
My name is Olivia Campbell and my athletic background has been made up of ten years of competitive gymnastics, seven years of Track and Field, specializing in Pole Vault, and six years of Crossfit experience. After deciding not to pursue gymnastics, I started pole vaulting and competed all four years at Hood River Valley High School. I still continue to jump today at Raising the Bar Pole Vault Club in Springfield. My senior year of high school, I started Crossfit and found I was picking up Crossfit movements and olympic lifts quickly because of my gymnastics background. I continued to Crossfit in Eugene at Lane 5 when I was a freshman at the University of Oregon in 2012. In 2014, I was a walk-on for the Oregon Acrobatics and Tumbling Team, which continued to develop my gymnastics and olympic lifting skills at the collegiate level. The following year, I coached at National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics. Coaching gymnastics has always been a consistent job throughout high school and college. I will always have a passion for coaching and I am excited to use my gymnastics experience to compliment Crossfit movements and concepts.
