Summer Athlete Program
Join us this summer as we dive into a variety of training tools to help prepare youths to become more efficient movers for athletic performance.
Our focus:
Balance and coordination, power development, and speed.
Our goal:
To make each and every youth a more well-rounded athlete regardless of their sport. We will put a premium on what an elite sprint coach once said: “movement over muscles”.
We look forward to bringing to the Eugene/Springfield area an opportunity for kids to learn “what” and “how” to train for the demands of their sport.
Our Athlete Program includes 3 workouts per week for 10 weeks, including gym and track workouts. For Competitive Athletes 6th-12th grade. Please inquire with any questions as to whether this program would be a good fit for your child.
Date/Time
- Tuesdays/Thursdays: 8 am to 9 am at Lane 5
- Wednesdays: 1 pm to 2:15 pm at Cal Young Middle School (track or turf)
- Program begins: Tuesday, June 17th
- Program ends: Thursday, August 21st
Cost:
- $450 (10 weeks, 30 workouts)
- $75 per week
- Sibling discount: $350 for 10 weeks, $50 per week

Your Coach: Tom Pappas
Tom brings a wealth of insight and personal experience to coaching young athletes. He is one of the most decorated Decathletes of all time, making 3 Olympic teams, winning 2 World Championships, and holds 7 National Titles. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the age of 28, received the Jesse Owens Award, ESPY for Male Track Athlete of the Year, and Oregon Professional Athlete of the Year. From traveling the world, coaching at the Division I Level, and training at the Olympic Training Center, Tom has a great deal of experience and knowledge to share with any athlete.
