Nutrition is a HUGE PART of fitness, but can also be a tough subject. According to our trainers, nutrition is one of the least agreed upon aspect of fitness. You won’t find too many arguments over “how to get strong” but when it comes to nutrition there are books written on opposite sides. It is important to understand your own body and add in other professional experiences. Understanding science behind nutrition is key. At Lane 5 CrossFit we will work with members on basic nutrition choices, supply reading material as well as our own opinions. Ultimately, we strive for every member to find the path that best fits you to a healthy lifestyle. It is important to remember that nutrition and fitness is a life long choice so implementing a plan that is SUSTAINABLE is crucial.
CrossFit also plays an important role with motivation, creating fun workout environments, developing friendships, and becoming part of a community. We all know that motivation can be a hinderance to working out alone or if you are uncertain of what to do. All of our classes are in a group setting and every session is programmed and guided by one of our coaches. You will sweat and learn with others, share stories, laugh (or cry at times). At Lane 5, you will become part of a community with team comaraderie, hold competitions together, barbecues, and special events.
